The 'Krull's Perfection' FCC/AOS (photo) is considered the best Paph. leucochilum ever awarded, combined with 'Black Watch' which has a very heavy amount of pigmentation. This should prove to be an exellent remake. By crossing Paph. Mount Toro back into Paph. stonei (photo), we expect easy to bloom plants producing flowers with white dorsals and dark stripes, with red pouches. These should produce some award quality plants. A remake of a beautiful hybrid, made with imporoved quality parents, Paph. leucochilum 'Black Lace' HCC/AOS and Paph. rothschildianum 'Frank Smith' FCC/AOS (similar to photo). Flowers are large and waxy, cream colored with dark red/mahogany markings, produced 2 to 4 per stem. Very similar to Paph. Rolfei but easier to grow and bloom. Paph. Norito Hasegawa 'Krull-Smith' x rothschildianum 'Crystelle' FCC/AOS
An excellent cross using the nice full formed yellow flower of Paph. Norito Hasegawa 'Krull Smith' and the excellent Paph. rothschildianum 'Crystelle' FCC/AOS. The best will have tall spikes with several large yellow/green flowers with mahogany markings and overlay. The photo is one of the first to bloom from this cross, it has excellent form and wonderful color. Similar breeding to Paph. Dollgoldi, but considered easier to bloom due to the influence of Paph. malipoense in the background of Paph. Norito Hasegawa. Plants for sale are blooming size in 4" pots with a leaf span of 10" to 14", and should bloom in the next year.
